Drivers are just realizing there is a secret button on their key fob that can keep them safe in underground parking lots

KEY fobs can be used for a lot more than just unlocking your car and can actually keep you safe in a sticky situation, auto experts have revealed.

Criminals are known to target drivers in underground parking garages due to the seclusion, but a key fob trick can be used to scare them away.

The trick specifically uses the panic button and its loud alarm to bring attention to you.

The panic button is designed to keep drivers safe in situations where anyone is trying to target them.  

The loud panic sound from your car will throw off a criminal who approaches you.

“If a suspicious person should approach you, hit that 'Panic' button to make some noise, which will, nine times out of ten, scare away anyone thinking of committing a criminal act,” Top Speed explained.
