I just can't see how you could ever do an emergency stop, it would just lock the engine part to the wheel and the rider would just spin around and around until you hit something!! Probably what you were trying to avoid.

I don't think it is meant to be practical. More of a conversation piece and a feat of ingenuity than anything else. I like how he thinks outside the box
